Almost 40 years now

Johnny was 8 years older than me and lived across the street. My last recollection of Johnny was of him jumping out of a tree into a rain swollen ditch in the front yard of a neighbor's house, and cutting a gash in his leg from something under the water. Seems like kind of a silly memory now but that's what sticks in my head. A few months later he was gone. I made a rubbing of his name a few years ago from the traveling wall that stopped in town.
