| Nas,Our Friend and Hero There are many ways we recall our friend Nas His eyes darting; seeking to ignite and excite. His motor rumbling; ready to take an early flight. Living fast and flirting with danger Maybe his young soul knew What laid around the corner. His gift was a smile on his buddy’s face. Making people laugh was his favorite game. Legally deemed rash and too wild He became a Marine – Semper Fi! His restless soul found a distinct pride. Throughout this structure and new brotherhood He lived life fully and shined as brightly as he could. A fateful May, took our dear friend away. In a flurry of memories, all we can do is recall a simpler day. Nas, buddy, you were steadfast and true You gave your life for your brothers and the red, white, and blue. You are timeless and always young We have survived, and carried on. You are our James Dean, the everlasting cavalier Mischievous boy, you were ever so dear. You were a spice in life A candle that shined bright. Malvin Lowe Nasworthy, Jr. A friend A Hero In the name of love you are remembered. Written by: "With much gratitude and thanks Naz for your courage and your inspiration." Melissa Stanaitis-Rubin 11.19.02 Niece of Jacky and Linda Halligan |
