| A Soldier Lost | |
| General Remembrance | |
| Was it just yesterday that a soldier was lost? Here when time and memories run together in the early morning hours as the night rushes to meet a new day. I sit in the quite and listen to voices that were long ago silenced. The amber light pushes through the dawn clouds and a twilight falls over me. I go back to a time when so many where alive and now are only memories and painful thoughts of what might have been fill that void. We all learn to deal with our losses in a way that helps us get through another day without those who gave there all in a land so hostile. Those who we loved and had such high hopes for and now are gone, but not forgotten. Oh, all for a soldier lost and all the dreams of life back at home with the ones that still to this day love and miss you. We raise our glasses of hope and toast to you and pray that you know we still care. We still think of what might have been and a tear is reserved for you and your memory. Rest now and go gentle into the night of our remembrances of you. To all you soldiers lost and names rest on the wall of our love, we still hold you dear in our hearts forevermore. | |
